Famous Women Database

Well hello everyone. This is my attempt to create a famous women database. To start with I'll be focusing on the 'most' famous women. Most being subjective of course. So they'll be in the group of most famous, rather than in any specific order. At least to start with. To give you an idea, here's a quick batch of 10 of the women that would make it into the top 100, even if not all of them would stay in the actual top 10.

• Meryl Streep

• Angelina Jolie

• Beyonce

• Jennifer Aniston

• Rihanna

• Lady Gaga

• Julia Roberts

• Taylor Swift

Certainties for the top 10, on my own take, would be: Madonna and Oprah Winfrey. So the format will be I'll create a post for each, with a bio, some interesting facts, some interesting trivia, a picture or two of the woman in question, and some links to their official sites or resources, including any social media accounts they have.

That's the plan anyway. I'm on a bit of a learning curve so bear with me. Also a disclaimer that while I try to make sure everything is factual, it may not be! All information on the famous women is gathered from the web. My aim is to take all those snippets and put them in one place. It won't be wikipedia, but should read more interesting than there!

My goal is to create at least 500 famous women on this blog. I do it hoping others will find it useful, and as a kind of reference for me also. Celebrities have always fascinated me, maybe I'm just naturally nosy! Nevertheless, just making a database of famous people is too broad. I also didn't want to make it too narrow, so settled on female celebs. As opposed to say the top 500 female vocalists, or movie stars, historical figures, and so on. So it's a cross between pop culture and serious - it'll at least be fun finding out whether I can fuse the two as I create the database entries!

That's enough of my boring intro to the website anyway. I'll probably sticky this post - if I can work out how - just so future visitors can get a glimpse of how this all started. It should be quite the read for myself too in a few years time, seeing how I rambled on lol.
